So after a quiet night and a good sleep, I changed the Patsy's oil and we left our overnight free camp very late at about 10:30am and made tracks for Melbourne on the M1 highway (The Princess).

The traffic slowly grew heavier as we got closer to the city. After a fairly uneventful drive we hit panic stations when we found ourselves on the Toll Way, with signs warning of fines being applied if an e-pass or some other thingy was not installed in your vehicle. This was coming close to the CBD and it was getting very complex and busy, Naomi called the phone number advertised for information relating to the Toll Way and we got that all sorted out and Nevil(our trusty GPS) got us through to our intended Caravan park in North Laverton without any trouble. I say Caravan Park, but this is no holiday park as I am used to, no, this is a cheap place to live. So you can imagine the kind of place this is without photos, as I am not game to be seen taking happy snaps here <grin>. But on the bright side, it's cheap and close to Melbourne and the showers work...(although the in the men's some doors are missing and some showers are missing the shower head altogether...so that's the kind of place this is, needless to say we are keeping a close eye on the kids here...)
So anyways, on arrival we immediately did some washing and then headed for the closest biggest shopping center we could find, Werribee.
Sarah had a haircut....
And we went shopping! And then we saw the movie "The Life of Pi" in 3D our first 3D movie. Excellent movie except for preaching many ways to God in a wishy washy kind of way, the cinematography is unparallelled in my humble opinion very visually appealing! And the 3D was very good!
So home to the caravan, and a blogging I go..sweating like a tropical jungle here now temp expected to be 41 on the morrow....and we are heading into the CBD whatever way we can find tomorrow, train bus or drive if we have to...and expect to spend most of the day there...shopping and looking, just like tourists :)
Until tomorrow
James, Naomi and those kids of ours :-)
