12th January 2014

Happy Anniversary to us - 11 years today!!

11 Years ago at Bassendean Church of Christ we were married and now we have two children and have travelled across Australia WOOHOO!!!!  We have been very blessed.

So going back to our journey, we are here in Wagin, a wheatbelt country town about  2.5 - 3 hours to Perth.  It has a giant ram, lakes and a heritage walk and museum.  For more information see the following website: http://www.wagintouristinfo.com.au/ .   However the most exciting thing here for us is Naomi's mum, not to mention hot showers, plenty of beds and good food.

We woke quite early and we started the watering.  We are still inspired by the vegie patches and this time we could not believe our eyes with the biggest pumkin patch you have ever seen!  Naomi was looking under all the leaves to see where the pumpkin was hiding but alas couldn't find it!  Only when she was watering one of the fruit trees (on the other side), that there, coming out of the grapevine fence was a great big pumpkin growing happily and another one close by...

It was a good time to relax, do some washing and basically start to stop.  There is nothing like being on the road and having an adventure and the time was coming to end the adventure.  Staying with mum was a warm up to getting home.

We went to Creswell's, where you never know what kind of treat/goody you can buy.  James ended up with 2 hats (to cover his neck and face) and Naomi has already started her Christmas for this year by getting some discounted serviettes.

Later that evening we went out to Chinese and had a celebratory dinner for our anniversary.  We had a lovely time and off to bed we went.

Good night.

P.S. - Travelers Tip:

Dont bother to wave to other passing motorists when it is dark, they can't see you!
