Floor finished onto the kitchen!

With the new lino tiles laid it was onto the kitchen cupboards.

Replacing the old ply wall sheeting that had completely separated and was in a bad state behind the kitchen has its own set of problems to overcome. I have previously used up the only spare original ply sheet from my Millard that came from the top bunk which I have replaced with an internal door (very similar construction to the original but no wood-grain pattern, on the wall at the head of the master bed where the wall was very badly water damaged. So, because the wall behind the kitchen is not seen, I have just used 3mm wood ply from Mitre10. This was complicated by the external sheeting needing some renovating at the same time.

So I have begun to build the kitchen cupboards around the over-sized fridge. I am using from what I can see is close to the original construction method. Meranti frame with ply glued on the face and routered.
With some input from my better half I now have a good plan to continue the kitchen build.

I was feeling a little overwhelmed by the looming date of departure in Dec, but now after getting the floor down and the wall behind the main bed and now getting started on the kitchen I am feeling like I may just get everything done......

Still to Do:

Kitchen (Walllsheet, Kitchen Cupboards Laminate Top and Splash Back, make new table top and laminate)
Fix external wall around fridge vents.
Fit new Carefree awning (adding bracing plates and timber to frame of van for top mounts)
Mount extra solar panel and add wiring
Add extra Deep Cycle Battery
Remove corner mouldings and cleanup, sand and clean van exterior
Paint Van

Hmmmm, getting that feeling again... :)
